Ledgent Technology in Houston, TX is seeking Lead Business Analysts to assist Project Managers with the examination of business processes, preparing process flows, and writing business requirements and test scripts for technology projects. Individuals will apply advanced theoretical knowledge of computer science principles and concepts to perform the following job duties: If you are open to 50% travel and strong MDM background please email jcrane@ledgent.com

  • Assist the project manager with translating complex business problems into business requirements and functional solutions with agreement across multiple stakeholders with divergent interests. 
  • Review functional design specifications prepared by junior business analysts. 
  • Review existing logical and physical data environment to assess the initial environment. 
  • Lead and assist junior business analysts in the development and maintenance of data models (conceptual, logical, and physical master data models). 
  • Review and improve workflows developed by junior business analysts. Augment existing business processes. 
  • Manage MDM product configurations to meet the user requirements. 
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional MDM team ensuring product life-cycle development processes are adhered to (Development, Unit Test, Integration Testing, Production). 
  • Plan and review both System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing. 
  • Conduct User training on  MDM products. 
THIS POSITION DOES NOT SUPERVISE THE WORK OF OTHER PERSONNEL AND DOES NOT PERFORM ANY PROJECT MANAGEMENT.
Minimum Requirements:  The normal minimum requirements for the position are as follows: 
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field, plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s). 
  • In lieu of the stated requirements, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field, plus at least five (5) years of post-degree, progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any related position(s). 
Individuals must also have demonstrable proficiency, knowledge and experience with the following: 
  • 1. Agile or Waterfall methodology; 2. Data Visualization Tool or Process Modelling tool such as at least one of the following: Tableau, MS Visio, ARIS, ERWin.
  • Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable. The term suitable, in this context, means substantial compatibility with stated academic requirements, experience and ability to perform job duties.
