Job Title: IT Support Specialist
Job Location: San Diego, CA 92130
Salary Range: $85,000-$95,000
Job Type: 100% Onsite; Direct Hire


The function of the IT Support Specialist is to provide advanced-level technical support for all aspects of the IT environment including end-user systems, production systems, and network operations. This individual will be integral in building out the IT foundation, inclusive of cloud architecture and cybersecurity practice.

Essential Function:

  • Assist with managing on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure, including but not limited to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Ensure optimal performance, security, and cost-efficiency of cloud-based systems.
  • Assist with Intune management process.
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers and endpoints, leveraging Microsoft Intune for comprehensive management of operating system patches, upgrades, and endpoint security.
  • Monitor both on-prem and cloud network performance and security, ensuring system integrity and robust data protection across all platforms.
  • Provide advanced technical support to resolve complex issues related to hardware, software, networking, and cloud-based services.?
  • Oversee and manage backup solutions, ensuring robust data protection and recovery strategies.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services, managing and coordinating responses to security incidents.
  • Handle onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions for employees with regard to IT systems and access.
  • Provide training for cloud applications, services, and support to ensure efficient use of IT resources.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure a cohesive IT strategy and infrastructure.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures.

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, or Related Field preferred or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of IT and desktop support work experience in a small or medium business environment.
  • 2+ years of experience with JIRA Helpdesk (preferred)
  • Microsoft Windows/Windows Server and Office experience required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud services (Microsoft 365: All Admin Centers, AWS, Azure, GCP), server administration, network management, and cybersecurity.?
  • Availability for limited after-hours and weekend work as needed.
  • NetSuite experience (preferred)
  • Jira / Confluence experience (preferred)
  • Exposure to Cybersecurity best practices and implementation, preferably in a highly regulated environment. (preferred)
