Compensation: $110,000 - $148,500

POSTION SUMMARY:

The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for assisting with the planning, managing, and maintaining the organization's systems infrastructure and will work closely with the IT Operations Manager, Director of Information Technology, Director of Information Security and has regular interactions with members of the Operations, Security, User Support and Training groups as it relates to operational support and technology improvement.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Troubleshoot equipment and system errors - isolate problems and determine possible solutions - in a timely manner.
  • Partner with other engineers to develop and implement resolutions to equipment and system errors and issues, at times partnering with others.
  • Manage and provide testing support for equipment and systems - initial, ongoing and upgrade related.
  • Manage equipment and system lifecycles and inform leadership of future changes.
  • Analyze prospective technology and/or vendors and provide IT management with recommendations.
  • Continuously evaluate the Firm's technology infrastructure or internal processes and evaluate it for possible improvement.
  • Assess and propose potential solutions.
  • Provide advanced support for IT Operations projects and tasks completion.
  • Support and manage switching/routing infrastructure.
  • Support, manage and document systems security hardening best practices.
  • Support, manage and maintain data center operations.
  • Provide engineering escalation support to the Help Desk.
  • Provide after-hours second level support to the Help Desk and/or users as part of the engineering on-call rotation.
  • Provision and decommission Active Directory and/or Exchange accounts and groups.
  • Manage and maintain the Active Directory environment.
  • Deploy and integrate new equipment and systems into the environment to both local and remote systems.
  • Address Windows updates, critical updates, and other security vulnerabilities across environment on a strict patching schedule.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to responsibilities.
  • Perform quality control testing and report on findings and possible resolutions for firm equipment and systems to provide and maintain a reliable working environment.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage relationships with vendors and consultants related to the firm's technology.
  • Assist with the evaluations and recommendations for firm technologies.
  • Assist with the creation of training materials for firm applications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 6 years of related technical experience with large (>300 users) networks.
  • Project management experience running small to mid-sized projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and retain knowledge of new technology and software quickly.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, at times to remote locations with little notice.
  • Ability to work under the pressures of a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to be available, as needed, to work extended hours, nights, weekends and rotating on-call duties.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Hands-on practical experience with Cisco switching/Routing Infrastructure
  • Palo Alto Firewall management
