Job Description

Systems Administrator


Essential Job Functions:
? Install, maintain and optimize all Windows, Exchange eMail, VM Ware, HyperV and Linux servers
? Install, maintain and optimize document printing and archiving system including document share
? Maintain and support company's e-commerce server; required familiarity with Apache and IIS
? Support and maintain company's PBX systems, VoIP Technology and related protocols, including servers, appliances and gateways.
? Maintain backup schedule for all servers using third party software.
? Install, Configure, update and maintain company firewalls, routers and switches.
? Configure and maintain wireless access points for the warehouse wireless scanners.
? Maintain a daily log of server transactions, problems and remedial action taken, and installation activities
? Knowledge of access and event logs
? Support person to the Help Desk with managing daily tasks.
? Assist in setting up of computer hardware, printers and ensuring proper installation of operating systems, and appropriate software
? Assist in supporting connectivity, apps and security to smartphones/tablets
? Assist in supporting users of the company ERP system
? Assist in supporting users of the company EDI portals
? Additional Job Duties can be added at anytime

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skill and Experience Required:
Required:
Minimum four year college degree required in Information Technology with an emphasis on System Administration

Knowledge, Skill and Experience Required:
1. Experience of managing and administrating of Windows, Exchange 2013, VMWare and HyperV servers
2. Operating Systems – Windows 2003, 2008, 2012 & 2016; Linux and VMWare
3. Knowledge of SQL Server/agent
4. Competent working with LAN, WAN, related routers, switches, appliances and Wireless technology
5. UNIX and Linux system administration
6. Understanding of Help Desk ticketing system and the server
7. Understanding of Telephony: PBX, VoIP and Telecommunication
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills
9. Excellent Customer Service skills
10. Dependability, works well under pressure and with all different skill levels of employees
