Communications Specialist, Social Media

Great opportunity for a full-time position with a travel & hospitality organization. As a Communications Specialist, Social Media, you'll help develop the social content targeting leisure and business travelers to a top SoCal destination.

  • Help to develop strategies to build and engage their social audience
  • Maintain the brand voice across all social media channels while developing/incorporating innovative methods to grow the brand's presence
  • Ensure there is a consistent story told through all company channels
Communications Specialist, Social Media Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day social and digital deliverables including content & message creation and social initiatives
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with bloggers, industry experts and influencers to increase brand awareness and engagement
  • Maintain ongoing engagement across all social channels, interacting with business and leisure travelers
  • Create strategic content for multi-platform storytelling with a consistent point of view across channels
  • Support social media advertising campaigns to align with major destination events and initiatives
  • Work with the destination community and organization's partners to promote local and regional businesses
  • Measure and report on the impact of communications against overall business objectives
  • Incorporate social strategies into larger integrated marketing and sales business + leisure travel programs
  • Analyze social media tools to identify trends, assess data, create insights, establish future key messages and provide value to clients and manage third party platforms
  • Drive ideation and new methods of social media execution and thought leadership opportunities

Job Requirements

Communications Specialist, Social Media Qualifications: 3-5 years of Social Media and/or PR experience at an agency and/or inhouse communications/PR team Demonstrated success in developing social strategies and their overall impact to the business success Ability to demonstrate social media execution (community management, strategy & content development, blog outreach) across all platforms and communication channels, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn Excellent writing skills Passionate about social media and speaking on behalf of a brand; Develop and curate brand personality Experience with social media monitoring tools
