Performance Test Engineer

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes Technical and Business requirements in terms of functional/non-functional, SLA, (estimates, refines, finalizes, communicates) hardware and software resources working with Geo dispersed Product, Engineering (Dev-QE) & Ops team
  • Participates in Development and Maintenance of Scalable, Extendable, Performance Test Automation Scripts
  • Define test scenarios, write detailed test cases with fully documented test-steps, verification criteria, pass/fail criteria, execute tests, debug issues, analyze system behavior, (prepare, present, maintain) test results & reports
  • Document, Track, Triage issues in JIRA - follow JIRA lifecycle
  • Create, build, upgrade, expand/maintain testbeds/test-environments in local and remote labs or cloud based labs
 
Qualifications:
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years' experience with Performance, Load, Stress, End-to-End testing of communication applications having Mobile, Web and Desktop clients running Windows, Mac OS, and Linux
  • 4+ years with building/utilizing in-house or industry standard performance test automation using tools: JMeter, BlazeMeter, Taurus, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, SIPP, Spirent
  • 4+ years with programming/scripting: BASH, PYTHON, PERL, JAVA
  • 2+ years with New Relic, Appdynamics, Dynatrace, BSM, Wavefront
  • 1+ year with log analytic software: Splunk, ELK, Raygun
  • 2+ years with cloud - AWS
  • Experience with Jenkins, Bamboo, Chef, Puppet, REST APIS, automation testing
