Director of Data Science

Ledgent Technology is partnering with a local fast-growing organization to identify a Director of Data Science who will be at the forefront of steering their data science and analytics functions, focusing on organizing, analyzing, and leveraging data to unveil insights. The primary objective is to bolster the creation of impactful campaigns that foster engagement and resonate with the company's diverse audience. This role will ensure that products and services not only meet customer needs but also effectively reach them through targeted and personalized marketing efforts, achieved through the amalgamation of marketing and data science.

This is a direct hire position which will be onsite with a target pay of $130-150k.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a data sciences strategy tailored specifically for the marketing department, aligning with business objectives set by senior leadership.
  • Provide resources and support for data-driven decision-making within the marketing team, contributing to the creation of effective and targeted campaigns.
  • Oversee the organization and administration of data sources and storage solutions, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and integrity within a scalable and high-performing data infrastructure.
  • Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics models to comprehend user behavior, optimize marketing performance, and enhance business development.
  • Collaborate with key leaders to define and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of campaigns, offering actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies to maintain the integrity, privacy, and security of marketing and customer data in compliance with regulatory and data security standards.
  • Translate complex data findings into compelling narratives that resonate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Foster collaboration between data sciences, marketing, medical funding, and business development teams to ensure alignment on strategic goals and a unified approach to data-driven decision-making.

Abilities

  • Expertise in developing and implementing advanced analytics models, focusing on marketing optimization.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, conveying data insights in a compelling and actionable manner.
  • Experience in organizing and administering data warehouses, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and security.
  • Proven track record of collaborative, cross-functional work with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, overcoming challenges with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, effectively prioritizing based on associated deadlines, and adapting project direction as needed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leads with curiosity, proactivity, and forward-thinking.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, analytics, or related field.
  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience leading data sciences teams in a marketing context, preferably within the healthcare or medical technology space.
