Job Description

Job Title: Motion Graphics Artist -Designer & Animator (7615725)
Location: Santa Clara
Duration: 6 months
 
Responsibilities:

  • Create a variety of graphic elements and animations for all types of video productions.
  • Able to create compelling, animated infographics to illustrate key concepts, using original art work and editing techniques to draw out important themes.
  • Animate and enhance branding elements for all video programs, while assisting in editing video projects as a media manager and/or assistant editor.
  • Assist in stage and field production as an active crew member from VFX supervisor to camera op, grip or PA.
Qualifications: 
  • 5+ years experience in motion graphics, design and illustration with two years of basic video production
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (I.e. After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere)
  • Graphic design for video & animation--with artistic drawing and illustration capabilities
  • Ability to take brand, style guides, and scripts and translate that into impactful motion graphics for standalone pieces or integrated them into live action video projects
  • Well-versed in third party After Effects plugins (i.e. Element 3D, Optical Flares, Trapcode Suite)
  • 2D Character rigging and animation experience
  • Basic knowledge of expressions in After Effects
  • Experience in visual effects & compositing (green screen - paint out)
  • 3D animation and character animations a plus
  • Understanding of cinematic principles and design
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects to meet deadlines
  • Desire to take real ownership of your role on each project and see to it that all details are thought out
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with others
  • Meticulous organization of assets and projects
 
AFTER EFFECTS
  • Title creation and animation
  • Vector based animation - cartoons and motion graphics
  • Green screen compositing
  • Motion tracking
  • Retouching (cleaning shots)
 
 PREMIERE
  • Basic video editing
  • Experiences with dynamic linking
  • Understanding of codecs and deliverable specifications for web
 
ILLUSTRATOR
  • Graphic design for video
  • Ability to modify existing illustrations to fit specific branding aesthetics
  • Title design
  • Font, asset, and file management
  • File preparation for animation
 
PHOTOSHOP
  • File preparation for animation
  • Asset retouching 
 
EDUCATION
BA/BFA or related degree in Digital Media and Graphic
