Job Description

Our organization's primary focus is on designing and building radiation hardened single board computers for satellites, including FPGA and PowerPC-based computers. Other specialties include radiation hardened electronics for space applications.
We are headquartered in the Sorrento Valley area of San Diego and we're seeking a motivated Radio Frequency Engineer with strong Analog circuit design knowledge to join our San Diego team!
We are Ideal candidates will have experience designing hardware circuits such as amplifiers, transmitters & synthesizers, filters, switches and mixers. The successful candidate will also be a forward-thinking team player and work well under minimal supervision.
Due to the nature of the work, the successful candidate must be a US Citizen or permanent resident of the United States and presently authorized to work on a full-time basis. This company does not sponsor or transfer H1-visa individuals
 
Desired Skills and Background

  • BSEE degree with emphasis on RF/Microwave (MSEE preferred)
  • 4 to 7 years' experience with Microwave/RF Circuits Design and Test
  • Space Experience a plus
  • Self-Starter/less direct oversight
 
Some of the following skill sets:
  • Knowledge of RF/Analog circuit design.  Should be able to pursue circuit designs with guidance. 
  • Experience with some schematic capture and simulation tools (MWO, ADS, PSPICE, ORCAD/PADS preferred) desired
  • Experience with software defined radios a plus
 
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Design RF/analog hardware circuits to include some of the following: Amplifiers, Filters, switches, PLL's, mixers, op amps for applications in microwave receivers, transmitters and synthesizers, with supervision
  • Familiarity with RF testing as required to validate the design as required
