We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work onsite in a full time position with our client.

Job Summary
In this role, you will perform a variety of mechanical engineering and design activities under the supervision of senior engineering staff. The Engineer will be self-motivated, organized and creative with the ability to multi-task. This individual must be able to work as a productive and engaged team member, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and innovation, in a fast-paced environment. Strong initiative and follow-through are essential for this job.

Core Responsibilities
* Perform mechanical design utilizing various engineering software
* Perform HVAC system selections and details designs
* Select and specify mechanical equipment and devices.
* Perform submittal and shop drawing reviews; ensure accurate, timely responses to RFI's.
Document changes and clarifications to scope, schedule, and budget; advise project team.
* Review data and prepare recommendations, summaries, and cost estimates for consideration by senior engineers and/or managers.
* Write technical reports to document engineering analysis and findings.
* Conduct feasibility studies for proposed equipment and systems.
* Assist senior engineer(s) in reviewing design and development plans and/or cost estimates.
* Evaluate engineering solutions, equipment and specifications.
Acts as a technical advisor to junior professional staff assigned to the project(s).
* Coordinate, support, and communicate with colleagues across disciplines and receive direction from project leads.
* Attends and is an active participant in the design and construction project team meetings.
* Implement ATCE quality assurance procedures during the design process (e.g., Design Criteria submission, Design Checklists, Interdisciplinary Coordination Schedules, etc.)
* Proposes innovative solutions to design problems.
* Performs load calculations, detailed engineering design and compliance analysis, and prepare reports.
* Edit standard material and construction specifications to match project requirements as part of the preparation of project specifications.
Ability to implement design in BIM environment.
* May serve as a field engineer during construction by performing site visits and preparing written reports of observations.
* Other duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate
* Minimum of 3 - 6 years of design experience for consulting engineer or design-build contractor
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with multiple project deadlines.
* General understanding of contract and construction documents.
* Knowledge of codes, standards, and construction/engineering processes.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Revit, and other engineering analysis and compliance software tools.
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) Certification, preferred.
* LEED Accreditation.
Essential Requirements
* Highly proficient in Trace 700
* Strong knowledge of State and local Building Codes
* Proficient in Revit, BIM 360
