Core Responsibilities
· Available during regular business hours to meet and respond to the needs of clients and to be available to ATCE staff, and as needed beyond regular business hours when necessary.
· Implement ATCE quality assurance procedures during design process (e.g., design criteria submission, design checklists, interdisciplinary coordination schedules, etc.).
· Check all technical work for accuracy. Review technical content with team members from each discipline involved in the project where necessary.
Propose innovative solutions to design problems.
· Perform calculations for network bandwidth and storage requirements, using engineering formulas and skills.
· Lead programming efforts with clients to define functional and technical requirements.
· Design and select solutions to meet project specific requirements standards.
· Lead technical design of physical security solutions including but not limited to access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance and SOC solutions.
· Coordinate door hardware schedules with project architects and develop supporting security device matrix and door details.
Coordinate with the design team to incorporate supporting infrastructure including pathways, equipment layout, power, and grounding.
· Develop and or edit standard contract documents including functional diagrams, drawings, Division 28 - Electronic Safety and Security specifications, bill of materials, RFP documents to match project requirements.
· Review product data submittals for conformance to contract documents
· Act as a consultant to clients and as a technical advisor to junior professional staff assigned to the project.
· Develop and manage changes and clarifications to project scope, schedule, budget, bill of materials, bidding, and CA related efforts. Capable of performing detailed punch walks and reports.
· Perform submittal reviews and insures accurate, timely response to all construction RFI's.
Assist, co-author, or author report, opinions and recommendations for the approval of the Project Manager concerning the direction of the project.
· May serve as lead Project Manager, Engineer or Field Engineer during design and construction by performing site visits and preparing written reports of observations.
· As required, attend kick-off, design coordination, OAC, and construction meetings.
· Provide strong client relationship management and participate in business development efforts including scope and fee development, proposals, additional service requests, and client interviews.
· Engage with industry including product manufactures, manufacture reps, distributors, and contractors. Attend industry events as required for education and networking.
Ideal Candidate
· Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and Industrial Security Professional (ISP) a plus.
· A passion for working in a team-based environment to deliver solutions for clients.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Advanced working knowledge and experience with MS Office, BIM Tools, Bluebeam Studio.
Knowledge of or with AutoCAD and or Revit a plus.
Essential Requirements
· 10+ years of experience with design and implementation of security systems and related infrastructure.
· Physical Security Professional (PSC/PSP) certification.
· Working knowledge of mainstream ACS and VMS security manufactures, products, and solutions such as Lenel, Milestone, Honeywell, S2, Avigilon, Bosch, Schlage, ASSA ABLOY, AXIS, etc.
· Working knowledge of Bluebeam is required.
