Ledgent Technology is seeking a Project Manager to join an internal information technology, business optimization, and process automation and improvement consulting team.

This Project Manager must be highly organized, diligent, and proactive. This person must also understand the value of understanding the organizational methods that accomplish deliverables on time and within budget.

This is a contract to hire opportunity; therefore, only applicants seeking full time employment will be considered.

This position is remote in the United States.

Please note that all applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. 3rd party subcontracting is not an option.

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for the management of projects within a new line of business. Most projects will be greenfield.  
  • Work alongside the Program Manager, ensuring formal management and tracking of projects within the pipeline. Projects will be concurrent and range in size and scope.  
  • Provide solutions and structured implementation plans in support of the overall Program.
  • Support formalized project intake, key documentation, and be a steward of project implementation.
  • Encourage stakeholder, vendor, and internal shared service relationships such as IT, Legal, Risk and Compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for supporting new business processes and system implementations to achieve business goals.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and needs.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver business objectives.
  • Must be keen to become an expert of the business operations that are being supported.
  • Perform business assessments, evaluate operational benefits of solutions, and convey benefits and gains to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain project plans and reporting documentation as necessary to ensure timely and effective communication of real time status through presentations and reporting.
  • Produce all elements associated with a project plan and maintain key project governance documentation.
  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and internal shared services.
  • Manage Project Team by assisting all team members to ensure goals and requirements are being met and any risks or issues are quickly addressed, mitigated and/or resolved.
  • Conduct vendor vetting and implementation.
  • Conduct vendor demo calls.
What you should bring to the table:
  • Bachelor's Degree - Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology or Engineering strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a dedicated Project Manager, with proven track record of successfully managing greenfield projects - required.
  • Familiarity with Business Process Management, Waterfall, Agile and Lean project management approaches.
  • Experience performing business assessments, evaluating operational benefits of solutions, and conveying benefits and gains to leadership and stakeholders - required.
  • Experience developing and maintaining project plans and reporting documentation - required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to problem solve and liaise with departmental staff and senior management.
  • Have a high degree of organization, individual initiative and personal accountability.
  • Understanding of multi-departmental Enterprises is necessary.
  • Confident leading cross-functional teams, consisting of co-location, virtual, onsite, and consultants.
  • Ability to work efficiently and seamlessly in fast paced technology and business domains.
  • Experience in Corporate Finance, Mortgage Industry or Hedge Funds a strong plus.
  • PMP, Agile or ITIL certifications are a plus.
