Role: Senior Network Engineer

Position Type: Full Time, Direct Hire

Location: Portland, OR - Hybrid (MUST BE LOCAL)

Annual Salary: PENDING confirmation - hiring manager is out on PTO

Position Overview: Join our client's engineering team to develop and enhance integrated solutions, creating tactical and portable computing and communication functions. This role involves hands-on work with advanced networking and systems technology.

Requirements:

• Expertise in troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues.
• Strong background in designing and managing TCP/IP networks and related devices.
• Proficiency in routing, switching, security, and Wi-Fi (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto, Ruckus, etc.).
• Skilled with operating systems such as Windows, Windows Server, VMware ESXi & Linux.
• Knowledgeable in Network and Systems security, including 802.1x and Public Key Infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct high-level systems analysis and integration of complex networking and systems solutions.
• Perform advanced network configurations and implement VPN integrations.
• Troubleshoot and test hardware, software, and network products.
• Develop procedures for system configuration and testing.
• Create documentation for internal and external users.
• Maintain product quality standards.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in network or systems engineering.
• Ability to explain complex technology to diverse audiences.
• Expert in IP networking and devices (Switches, Routers, Firewalls, etc.).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNP, Aruba ACMP, Juniper JNCIP).
• Experience with secure communications and PKI.
• Familiar with PC hardware troubleshooting, VMware vSphere, and Linux.
• Knowledge of network management applications is a plus.
