Seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support a hybrid environment as a part of a team in a quickly-growing organization

This is a permanent/direct hire role which will be onsite in Mendota Heights, MN. Target salary is $120-130k.

Candidates must be local to the Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN metro area and must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship both now and in the future.

Essential Job Duties

• Server Management: Ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Storage Capacity Monitoring: Manage and monitor server storage to accommodate new data.
• Data Backup and Recovery: Monitor and manage backups to ensure data integrity.
• Cloud Services Management: Oversee cloud-based services.
• Security Management: Implement and monitor security protocols.
• Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Optimize system performance.
• Infrastructure Automation: Automate infrastructure processes.
• Disaster Recovery Planning: Assist in creating and implementing disaster recovery plans.
• Capacity Planning: Ensure infrastructure can meet future demands.
• Network and Infrastructure Troubleshooting: Resolve network and infrastructure issues.
• Hardware and Software Procurement: Acquire necessary hardware and software.
• Documentation: Maintain documentation of supported technologies.
• Patch Management: Manage and deploy system patches.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to IT policies and regulations.

Qualifications

Education, Training, Certifications

• Bachelor's in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
• Master's in Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar is preferred.

Experience, Knowledge, Skill Requirements

• 10 years of IT infrastructure management and support.
• 5 years of experience with Microsoft Server, Azure, and Office product lines.
• 5 years of experience managing VMWare environments.
• Proficient in IT design, processes, and procedures.

Communication Skills

• Must effectively read, write, and communicate in English with employees and customers.

Systems and Software Skills

• Strong understanding of industry best practices.
• In-depth knowledge of server infrastructure.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and training skills.
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
• Extensive knowledge of internal processes and ability to recommend IT improvements.
• Comprehensive understanding of computer systems, server infrastructure security, network and systems administration, databases, data storage systems, and phone systems.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent project management skills with a strong ability to prioritize.
• Firm grasp of IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
