Partnered with a client in the higher education sector and they're looking for a PHP Full Stack Developer to join a small team employ scrum/agile development principles and work closely and collaboratively on our projects.

Job summary:

  • Create data visualizations of new high-impact visual applications using PHP (with Laravel framework), HTML, Bootstrap CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, and MySQL to make data actionable and facilitate decision making,
  • Implement UI/UX features designed by other front-end developers/designers to enhance user experience and engagement,
  • Develop server-side logic, contribute to definition and maintenance of the central database, to ensure high performance and responsiveness to front- and back-end requests.
  • Help maintain and further develop Server configurations (Amazon Web Service Instance configuration) in support of dashboard performance to ensure that it can be maintain and extended as needed,
  • Coordinate and collaborate with designers, data scientists, and the Senior Full Stack Developer to produce the premier suite of higher education dashboards in the nation.
  • Support onboarding of external clients who are licensing the Dashboard under a software as a service (SaaS) model

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related majors, or a minimum of 3 years of experience in web programming with Object Oriented PHP, JavaScript, JQuery and other web development programs or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fluency in PHP 7, JavaScript (using the JQuery library), HTML5, Bootstrap 5, and CSS
  • Knowledge and experience with LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) development stack, and Amazon Web Services (e.g., EC2, Amazon Route53 (DNS), CloudFront (CDN), Amazon S3 (Static Storage)
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work closely and collaboratively with developers, designers, data scientists, and other team members
