Job Description

Ledgent Technology in Atlanta is actively looking for a Lead Fullstack Engineer for a permanent, Direct-Hire opportunity!  The candidate should be a mid to senior-level Applications Engineer, with a "full-stack" mindset, to be a Technical Lead with our product and application development teams.

**This candidate is able to work FULLY REMOTE!!

As a Technical Lead, a willingness to collaborate and mentor junior developers and peers is required. Ideal applicants are challenge driven, learn-by-doing, respond well to change (agile), are thought-leaders, and prefer to work as part of a team. If you don't like team members who take responsibility, aren't clock punchers, support each other, find ways to do things better, and don't like dogs, this environment might not be for you.

Applications Engineers: As an applications engineer, you will be expected to help drive development of web-delivered applications and frameworks. We emphasize component reusability, while building application ecosystems and integrations. In addition, you will be expected to help lead development and delivery of container-based microservice architectures that are heavy on content delivery and data management. Being able to implement systems which solve integration challenges with existing infrastructure (potentially unruly and on-premise/off-premise) is key.

At least 4-5 years of multi-discipline software engineering experience with at least 2 years of active microservice and container-based architecture development is preferred. Equivalent experience gained through completed degree programs such as a Masters of Science in a computation based engineering program will have special consideration.

Candidates should be able to speak intelligently to these or related technologies, and have solid technical fundamentals that enable them to adopt new capabilities quickly.

Proficiency is desired in the following technical areas for front-end development:

  • Project/Development Management
  • Continuous Integration / Deployment / Delivery
  • System Integration, APIs, and Web Application development
  • Attention to detail and ability to collaborate effectively with UI/UX designers.
  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • Vanilla Web Components / Custom Elements, concept and implementation a plus
  • Proficiency with web module and build systems
  • Developing for browser compatibility (IE 11+)
  • Additional framework experience is a plus (Angular, React, react-native, etc)
  • Development experience leveraging the browser platform, web APIs, and enforcing vanilla JS and strong core software development principles (additionally avoiding libraries such as jQuery) is a plus.

Proficiency is desired in the following technical areas for back-end development:
  • Project/Development Management
  • Continuous Integration / Deployment
