Responsibilities
As Senior Manager of IT in Multifamily, you will be responsible for the overall information technology strategy, direction, and implementation of a growing business vertical. This IT leadership position oversees a team of multifamily implementer and support personnel and will be aligned with our multifamily business leaders and technology group members. As a customer focused strategic thinker, you will be collaborating in a matrix organization aligning support requirements with necessary resources. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 


 
 

  • Develop a strategic IT plan to support in house multifamily operations for domestic as well as international multifamily properties.
     
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify technology solutions to support front-office and back-office operations. Maintain and support key business applications.
     
  • Oversee all multifamily information technology projects and evaluate them according to established goals. Partner with key vendors and drive the roadmap of systems and implementations. Keep current on emerging trends and on new technology including cloud, software, remote management, networking, and status monitoring systems.
     
  • Ensure internal processes, as well as integration and interfaces with multifamily service providers are in compliance and meet cybersecurity standards.
     
  • Work with stakeholders to develop key metrics for reporting and data analytics leveraging modern platforms such as PowerBI, Tableau, SSRS, including dash boards and key alert metrics. Support our in-house corporate analytics group.
     
  • Identify the need for upgrades, ensure team is skilled and trained to configure systems.
     
  • Coordinate IT resources supporting multifamily operations such as network administrators, software engineers, security officers, and other IT professionals.
     
  • Control budget and report on IT expenditures. Demonstrate cost consciousness while selecting efficient solutions. Consider in house versus outsource solutions and implement best solutions based on experience.
     
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements include:


 
 
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Five or more years of experience of real estate industry experience, preferably in a multi-family environment.
     
  • Five or more years of experience directly supporting multifamily real estate operating platforms.
     
  • Possesses a deep understanding of multifamily investment, asset management, and operations.
     
  • Skilled in integrating property management real estate operation systems and financial accounting systems.
     
  • Familiarity with industry leading multifamily platforms such as Yardi, Entrata, RealPage or others.
     
  • Expertise in bringing people together, breaking up silo thinking.
     
  • Awareness of technology needs of operations personnel from leasing agents to building engineers. Integrating leasing, resident portals, online applications, maintenance, accounting, and billing functions.
     
  • International experience would be a plus.
     
  • Experience with Agile methodology and process-oriented project delivery.
     
  • Familiarity with data integration processes such as API, ETL, and other data extraction and transformation processes.
     
  • Student housing experience.
