Ledgent Technology in Atlanta is actively looking for a Technical Field Solutions Engineer for our client in the north Atlanta area for a Direct-Hire role!  The ideal candidate will have a combination of skills in hardware/software support, as well as an Engineering type of background.

This position is responsible for resolving technical customer problems and providing white glove support across all customers. Time is blended between customer delivery and new product field testing.  The ideal candidate enjoys delivering industry leading solutions to customers in the food distribution and food transportation industry.

The ideal candidate understands sales, is technical, and can communicate clearly. You understand the day-to-day aspects of customer support including managing tickets, building knowledge base articles, and providing product feedback to Engineering. The work is collaborative in nature while working together with other associates/Employees in multiple locations to serve our customers and troubleshoot complex technical issues.  The ideal candidate has a technical background with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience in a similar technical environment and field service roles.

  • You will become an expert on a Suite of solutions combining hardware, software, and the cloud to bring real-time visibility to the supply chain.
  • Be the trusted advisor for the customer by leveraging your deep knowledge of the product and the customer's business operations to provide technical insights and tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Develop and maintain a deep partnership with the customer and their company's key stakeholders by gaining strong business acumen, understanding the organizational structure, and their operations.
  • Use your technical knowledge and product expertise to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues with medium to high complexity.
  • Project manage our response to complex technical escalations, acting as the single point of contact to ensure stakeholders are in the loop.

Ideal background for the role:
  • Field Services in the transportation sector - Telematics experience is a huge plus
  • Mechanical Engineering or HVAC type of background
  • Methodical systems testing and troubleshooting
  • Hands-On installation and hardware troubleshooting
  • Hands-On device programming and validation of hardware
  • Delivering SAS solutions to end users
