Our client who is a leader in biopharmaceuticals located in Boca Raton FL is seeking a Payroll Specialist!

12+ mo onsite contract

$35/hr W2

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure strict adherence to policies and all US Federal, State, and Local regulatory compliance requirements related to time and attendance activities, including leaves, time off, and holidays.
  • Perform report-based payroll functions on a daily basis

Time and Attendance Processing:

  • Audit time entries and submit case documentation to vendors for garnishment processing.
  • Calculate and process special checks as needed.
  • Input hours for Short Term Disability pay in the time system.

Inquiry Handling:

  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, time, and attendance.
  • Review and resolve inquiries using the case management tool.
  • Address queries related to leave pay issues.

Vendor Coordination:

  • Provide time correction data for Payroll Input processed by vendors.
  • Create cases for garnishments/support orders and coordinate with vendors.
  • Process Bureau of Labor Statistic Reports and Unsupported Vendor Incidental Employment Verifications.
  • Process Improvement and Project Support:
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of cross-functional processes impacting time and attendance processes, particularly Kronos.
  • Support payroll projects, the Sr. T&A Specialist, and Supervisor when necessary for Kronos special requests.

Skills and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Expert level Excel
  • Knowledge of case management systems.
  • Preferred knowledge of Kronos Time Management, Workday Payroll, and Workday HCM.
  • 1-3 years of experience in time management, payroll, or accounting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening).
  • Experience in customer service with the ability to handle difficult situations and maintain confidentiality.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially intermediate-level Excel.
