EDI Programmer Analyst

Ledgent Technology has partnered with one of Oregon's most prominent company's in the food industry in their search for an EDI Programmer Analyst. 

Location: Portland, Oregon
 Overview
Provides support to all Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes by monitoring file processing, tracking applications, troubleshooting, performing tests, designing EDI maps, and making recommendations.

Responsibilities

  1. Provides support to all EDI production processes.
  2. Designs and maintains EDI maps to ensure compliance with all business requirements.
  3. Analyzes EDI implementations, recommends improvements to processes, and coordinates with trading partners to resolve issues effectively.
  4. Monitors and documents EDI requests, tracks applications and participates in meetings to plan effective solutions.
  5. Monitors EDI file processing. Analyzes EDI issues/errors in processes, troubleshoots, and performs tests to resolve transaction file issues.
  6. Maintains documentation for operational procedures, including inbound and outbound documents, according to data requirements.
  7. Coordinates with EDI trading partners to resolve production issues. Performs transaction tests, resolves EDI issues according to specification and maintains all transaction sets appropriately.
  8. Leads EDI implementation of additional documents or processes.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline or 4 years relevant work experience is preferred.
  2. 3+ years of experience with the following:
  • ANSI X.12 and EDIFACT or similar EDI standard.
  • EDI communications standards and protocols: AS2, SFTP, VAN, HTTPS.
  • TLi or at least one (1) EDI software platform.
  • Writing functional design documents, troubleshooting complex EDI failures, working with external EDI partners, and testing interconnected systems.
  • Basic XML understanding.
  1. Experience with EDI development in an online or offline food environment is preferred.
  2. Experience with Order and Financial series documents such as 850, 875, 855, 810, 880, 852, 204, 210, and 214 is preferred.
  3. Ability to think creatively and strategically with strong attention to detail.
  4. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally utilizing excellent oral and written communication skills.
