Job Description

The Unity Developer, under the direction of the Director or VP, Software Development, is responsible for building simulations within the Unity framework; collaborating with internal and external resources on development; assist in the production and support for customized virtual simulations and educational tools; and clearly communicates with consistency and high quality.  This position will assist with translating design ideas, concepts and requirments into a functional and engaging simulation.

Plan framework for simulation development within the Unity platform and manage the production of deliverables
Transform design specifications for simulations and/or educational tools into interactive learning activities that align with course content
Produce prototypes or storyboards and gather necessary information from client representatives or SMEs for the purpose of product creation/improvement
Design, build, and maintain efficient, resuable and reliable code
Ensure the best performance, quality, and responsiveness of simulations
Proofread, review and edit deliverables so that they are error free before publishing
Test Sentinel U's products and report/correct functionality errors, pathing issues, language edits or visual inconsistencies and incorporate stakeholder feedback into final deliverables
Develop and edit multimedia, including audio, photo, video, and 3D simulations
Provide technical support for educational simulations, artificially intelligent bots and other innovative learning methods
Identify process and application bottlenecks and bugs.  Report updates, obstacles and evaluations to project stakeholders

Bachelor's degree required; two to four years' experience in Unity and/or Unity 3D development; Strong background using various technologies in higher education or healthcare environments preferred.
Required Experience:

  • Unity3D / WebGL and 3D Modeling / Design
  • Rapid eLearning Development Tools (Articulate Storyline 2 or 360 preferred)
  • Photo / Video Software (Camtasia and Adobe Creative Cloud preferred)

Preferred Experience:
  • HTML5 / HTML / CCS
  • JavaScript
  • Animation
  • Artificial Intelligence Languages (AIML, ChatScript, etc.)
