Title: Sr Manager, Engineering - Cloud Orchestration (3534)
Location: Ottawa, Canada (Remote/onsite)
Direct Hire

We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Cloud QA team. This position requires a strong leader who can guide the team to deliver innovative products of great quality, help grow the team members and the organization, is technically strong and well versed in cloud technologies.
Requirements

  • Strong communication skills and willingness and ability to help the team with technical issues and challenges
  • Ability to multi-task, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in executing projects in a distributed development model
  • Strong experience with both private and public cloud platforms - VMWare, OpenStack, AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Strong Experience with REST APIs, UI testing tools, automation frameworks, and scripting languages
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux operating system, networking and virtualization technologies
  • Good understanding of databases, microservices architectures, and scaling technologies
  • Experience working with UX and UI development and automation
  • Working knowledge of networking protocols (L2, L3, and applications), security protocols (SSL, TLS), and standards (FIPS, CC)
  • Experience working on Analytics and Security products is a plus
  • Experience in software release processes and tools like Git, Jira, Maven
  • 10+ years hands-on QA testing and 4+ years of management experience
Primary duties include but not limited to:
  • Deliver high-quality Gigamon's Cloud suite of products
  • Drive QA strategy and initiatives to improve quality, scalability, and performance
  • Mentor QA engineers in technology, process, and growth
  • Customer escalations - work with Development, Support, and customers as needed in troubleshooting, replicating, and solving customer issues
  • Work cross-functionally with PLM, development, System Testing, and support teams
  • Manage software release activities for various cloud platforms
  • Enhance the automation infrastructure and test suites to build great quality products
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Gigamon's products and solutions and market verticals
  • Build and grow a strong QA organization that scales up as the company grows
