Position Title: Technical Operations Manager
Location: Onsite daily in Costa Mesa
Industry requirement: MSP (Managed Service Provider) or similar service-oriented company

Partnered with a client who is a local Managed Service Provider (MSP) delivering exceptional solutions to small and medium sized clients. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a talented Technical Operations Manager to join the team and play a key role in driving operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Description:

As a Technical Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring smooth functioning across various departments. While not requiring extensive technical expertise, this role demands a strong ability to connect the dots, provide oversight, and ensure that all operational aspects, from Help Desk support to project management and operations, are running seamlessly.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction and guidance to the Help Desk team, ensuring that tickets are handled promptly and efficiently. Willing and capable of rolling up sleeves to help in L2/3 escalation, when needed.
  • Manage purchasing activities, including procurement of necessary resources and materials.
  • Take the lead on project management, including overseeing onboarding projects and ensuring that milestones are met on time.
  • Conduct weekly meetings to review project status, report on milestones, and address any issues or concerns.
  • Facilitate client meetings to gather feedback and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and other stakeholders to fill operational gaps and optimize business processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or related experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in help desk management, ideally in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or similar service-oriented company.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficiency in project management.
