Location: Downtown Denver (parking NOT paid for)

Schedule: Hybrid (3 days per week in office)

Salary: $80k - $115k (based on experience)

The IT Project Manager will coordinate, track, and drive the execution of technology projects as well as the day-to-day flow of work through the IT department. This individual will report to the Director of IT Service Management while working closely with team members throughout the IT department, as well as with the firm's PMO.

Responsibilities include:

Project Management:

  • Assist subject matter experts in creating work breakdown structures and determining reasonable task durations.
  • Manage technology projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress, track deliverables, and identify risks to project budget, timeline, and outcomes.
  • Ensure stakeholders are fully informed of project status and consulted on mitigations for identified risks.
  • Manage the expectations of stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities, and expectations.

Program Management:

  • Coordinate with the firm's PMO on project reporting, ensuring accurate and timely updates on status of the project portfolio.
  • Track and drive the flow of work across all projects and IT department initiatives to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
  • Track and monitor the workload capacity of teams and individuals and ensure workload capacity is accounted for in the department's roadmap.
  • Ensure compliance with established processes, policies, and standards for efficient workflow management.
  • Collaborate on cross-departmental projects, promoting effective communication and cooperation between business units.

The successful candidate will have the following skillset:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing IT projects, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.
  • Technical professional background and familiarity with networking, virtualization, datacenters, telecommunications, endpoint management, and software rollouts.
  • Ability to rapidly learn new applications or technologies and map their value to the needs of business users.
  • Applicable technical and project management certifications are preferred.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management practices and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and a reputation for having high standards and routinely going above and beyond customer expectations.
  • Ability to inform, educate, and influence others to support goals and initiatives.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Demonstrated effective and polished written communications skills, targeting content to the given audience and demonstrating excellent spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to break tactical objectives into necessary individual tasks.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with experience in managing customers in high-stress situations and demonstrating good use of empathy and assertiveness.
  • Experience with modern cloud-hosted workflow and project management platforms, such as Monday.com, is a plus.
