Desktop Support

6 month Contract for Hire

Onsite, Northridge, CA



Desktop Support Technicians support the technical needs of the Company and ensure that system hardware, operating systems and software systems adhere to Company organizational values. Desktop Support Technicians will need to be technical and will work directly with other IT staff to ensure high reliability and shall be a team player who balances individual responsibilities, gives and welcomes feedback, and exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties below reflect the minimum requirements for this position.

* Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or e-mail.
* Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
* Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided.
* Walk the users through the problem-solving process.
* Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
* Provide accurate information on IT products or services.
* Record events and problems and their resolution in ticketing system.
* Follow-up and update customer status and information.
* Pass on any feedback and suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team.
* Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures.

* Proven experience as a help desk technician.
* Basic network troubleshooting skills (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.).
* BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science or relevant field preferred
* Microsoft MCSA preferred

* General knowledge of computer operation, Microsoft programs, email, and proficiently use a keyboard
* Experience with Windows 7, 8 and 10, and Office 365
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Should be good in client/customer relations
* Possess good people management/supervisory skills
* Ability to work in a high paced, high pressure environment and make sound decisions fast
* Able to work in a team setting
* Good problem solving skills
