Job Description


The Project Coordinator is responsible for managing the day to day activities of high volume technology deployments as part of a team in support of several Project Managers and Resource managers.  A key responsibility of this role is to support contractors on site performing installations by taking check in/out calls and 1st level escalations.  This role will be tasked with thoroughly documenting site status in the Deployment Services project portal along with reviewing and uploading deliverables to the project portal.  Project Coordinators working during normal business hours will also have the responsibility of confirming contractors and customer site locations for upcoming installations.  Successful candidates will have excellent time management skills, be confident communicating on the phone and will show attention to detail in order to maintain a project database which is shared with customers, making quality and accuracy of information critical. 
Section 3:  Responsibilities, Supporting Actions & End-Results
 
Guidelines: List the essential responsibilities, functions and/or activities, provide the supporting actions to describe how the work will be accomplished and provide the desired end results. List the responsibilities in order of importance and the estimated percentage of time for the responsibility (no one responsibility should be greater than 60% of time or less than 10%).  The most important responsibility is not necessarily the one where the most amount of time is spent. 
 
Major Responsibility: Support independent contractors while on a customer site performing installations
 
Supporting Actions:

  1. Act as the main point of contact for contractors in the field for check in/out calls and 1st level escalations to resolve project issues.
  2. Quickly and clearly escalate issues to the Resource Manager communicating any relevant information that will aid in the resolution of the issue
 
End Results:   Simple procedural calls and 1st level escalations are resolved without the need to leverage higher skill associates.  This will allow for more efficient use of Project Managers and Resource Managers time.   24 hour coverage will provide Project Managers and Resource Managers a more appropriate work life balance limiting the amount of work required between 18:00 and 08:00
Percentage:     40% for business hours and after hours shifts
 

Major Responsibility: Confirm technicians and customer locations for upcoming installation activity
 
Supporting Actions:
  1. Confirm and prepare independent contractors for scheduled jobs by reviewing dates, locations, scope, installation manuals and tool lists
  2. Confirm upcoming site visits with end customer locations reviewing dates, scope, equipment delivery and any special install instructions.
 
End Results:   Simple procedural calls are completed without the need to leverage higher skill associates which will allow for more efficient use of Project Managers and Resource Managers time.

Major Responsibility: Manage information which is produced through technician's performance of onsite installation activities.
 
Supporting Actions:
  1. Enter site updates, notes and status reports into multiple project portals ensuring accuracy of data at all time.
  2. Send site status and issue notifications to predefined stakeholders at the appropriate milestone points of an onsite installation
  3. Rate technicians on performance including value added not
