Job Description

This role will design, develop programs, code, and develop utilities, scripts, reports and queries on the Oracle ERP platform (EBS) regardless of software revision. This includes other peripheral systems integrated and interfacing with EBS. The software developer will test and analyze software programs and applications for new and production environments. This includes researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production lifecycle. The software developer will analyze and amend software errors in a timely and accurate fashion and provide status reports where required.

Operational Management Responsibilities:

  • Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications.
  • Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
  • Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas.
  • Generate statistics and prepare and write reports for management and/or team members on the status of the programming process.
  • Build custom solutions (RICEWF) including but not limited to Reports, Interfaces, conversions, extensions, Workflows, OAF extensions/customizations and personalization per Oracle's Recommended Standards.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines.
  • Install software products for end users as required.
  • Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or appearance of company Web site and/or related Web applications as necessary.
  • Remove code script from company Web site and/or related Web applications as necessary.
  • Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.
  • Manage and/or provide guidance to junior software developers and research assistants.

Job Requirements

Qualifications Knowledge & Experience Position requires 5+ years of hands-on detail experience in Oracle EBS platform, utilities, database and middleware. Working technical knowledge of programming languages used within Oracle platforms. Experience working with Oracle enterprise application. Design, build, customize and support Oracle EBS for Finance and Sales & Supply Chain modules, troubleshooting, identifying issues, performing root cause analysis, documenting and providing the best solution to the problem. Hands on experience working in integrated development environments, including ERP, SCM, Finance, SOA, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and other middleware. Extensive experience with Oracle operating systems. Extensive experience with Oracle database and other databases such as Microsoft SQL. Familiarity with the basic business functions such as Accounting, Sales, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and others. Experience with specific phases of the software development life cycle. Familiarity with industry standard (Agile / Scrum) software development methodologies.
