One of our amazing healthcare clients in the Sacramento, CA area is seeking a talented IT Engineering Director to join their growing team. Ideal candidates will meet the desired experience and thrive in a values-based and innovative company. 

This is a full-time opportunity based in Sacramento, local candidates highly preferred no relocation assistance will be offered. 

Responsibilities: 
The IT Engineering Director is responsible for:

  • Overseeing the coordination and administration of all aspects of application and data management programs and projects.
  • Managing the application and data management group with specific responsibility for building/configuring, maintaining or enhancing, and eventually decommissioning applications and data through their life cycle.

  • Provide leadership, vision and direction to the applications and data management initiatives to ensure they will contribute to the company's goals.
  • Utilize knowledge of project management for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing processes to manage program application and data management projects.
  • Drive the development and adoption of Information Services processes using frameworks such as Agile, DevOps, TMMi, ITIL, Program Management Office, Lean Six Sigma etc. to ensure consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness in operations.
  • Oversee support activities in conjunction with Infrastructure, Information Security, and Operations to ensure the applications and data warehouse perform well in production.
  • Work closely with the Information Security team to ensure the organization's application products and data are effectively secured and risks are mitigated.
Qualifications:
  • Masters' Degree in Information Science, Management Information Systems, or a similar discipline.
  • 7+ years' experience leading and managing architecture, application, and data initiatives across people, processes, technology, governance, and metrics.
  • Experienced and confrontable working with C-level executives to drive transformation initiatives and manage relationships.
  • Extensive understanding of industry best practices through delivery of solutions in areas such as enterprise architecture, solution architecture, data architecture, requirements analysis, design, development, testing, quality engineering, automation, and service management.
  • Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS (e.g. Salesforce), Infrastructure as a service (IaaS), Platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, micro services, event-driven IT and predictive analytics.

Job Requirements
